Weekend Outing

we went to a installation that gave a breakdown of the CERN installation in central europe. Kristina and Maria went with us and it was generally a really nice afternoon. the tour is cool and breaks down a bunch of really cool information about what is considered by many to be the most important human achievement in history.

so, i know that its not turkish mom, but it was by candle light; not bad.

over the weekend, eleftheria and i joined some friends in a little village outside of thessaloniki. the place we sayed belonged to our friend Ioannis. it included an unused cafenio, a house built in the 1700's, and the newer house where we slept. 

this is a large bottle of 25 year old tsipouro. amazing.

the following pictures are from the old house, it was amazing. there was still a bunch of old stuff inside, pictures, trunks and clothes. super cool.

this is the construction of the non-foundation walls, underneath the plaster (pictured below). i was blown away by the construction, so cool.

one of our horsey friends. we fed them a bunch of apples, they really enjoyed.

artemis really dug it too.

we did not get close enough to feed this one, but he was really beautiful.
