Just a Quick Something to Think

This is not mine, but i don't know whose it is. it was a comment on a video i was watching and i thought it was interesting.

...what do you call it when a dog shamefully slinks away from a counter he just stole a sandwich from? Or when an ape at a zoo protects a child that fell into an exhibit until it can be rescued? etc?

Isn't it convenient, that you call THOSE actions "instinct" but call it "conscience" when people do it?

Hey- hope your week has gone well! Mine has been ok, if you don't count the tooth i had pulled this evening - not as exciting as your's, but not all that much fun.
We are excited for you, adam & leanna!! And, rest assured - you haven't seen funny on a motorcycle until you have seen me!! But, it is so very much fun it really doesn't matter what you look
like:-) Oh- keep eating.

hey. haven't talked to you in forever, so naturally I have to give you a hard time. A dog slinking away from a counter isn't instinct, that's a conditioned response; and an ape is just as likely to beat someone to death with their own dismembered arm as protect a baby. See, humans are just animals after all.
