What always happens: No Rhyme, No Reason

i haven't posted in so long, i have no idea where to start. we are good. we went to athens, we go to school, we went to trunk or treat on holloween (i'd have been called out for cultural appropriation in the states, luckily i wasn't there), we were on a train. we are tired, we've been sick, we've been happy, we went to the beach, Emily swung on a swing for the first time, i have been to an international affairs symposium and a workshop on refugee education, Artemis road her bike, we went for walks and the girls are growing.

wow!

write or call for specifics, we would love to hear from you.

Tearing it up!

We know its coming, and yet it's unavoidable

this is just too much.
he is so controlled, careful and accommodating.

School Days

15 days in.
 the whole family was ready.
she was super brave and put up a good fight, but even she had to admit that under those power tights, she was nervous.
girl has more clothes that i have owned my whole life.

 wow. just. wow

it is pretty fun to have company in the car again, i have been missing eleftheria on the way to work, and having artemis has been a pretty fun change of pace.
not all mornings work, but not bad 1:15
here we are leaving on Monday from the village, breakfast in hand.
ninika joining in for the commute.
on days when she has gym, it is all wild cat gear, green, white and gold.

an old hand.

we are three weeks in, and going strong. still can't believe she is going to school. it has it ups and downs, but overall we are doing very well. artemis rides in with me, we grab some tyropita along the way and then i drop her off. she gives me a big hug and kiss, and then makes me promise to take her extra clothes to 'my school'. i then go to pic her up after school and she promptly falls asleep in the car. she seems to like it, seems to be making friends, and seems to be happpy, so . . . here's hoping.

Limited Photo Chronical from a Limitlessly Enjoyable Trip

i have been blessed a grandfather with a camera.

all of us, at least within the immediate Harrington clan, are aware of the omnipresent expectations of blog posting. the photos, the uploading, the writing of witty quips and the ever present dangers of catastrophic deletion, thus it is with great relief that i have been able to entrust the chronicling of my life to my father over the past few weeks. so, if you are looking for a more in-depth portrait of our adventures, you will need to check in with PAT and KAREN'S BLOG for the next few weeks.

The following are out of order and share no real story, but they are all of my good pictures thus far.

Artemis in her new beach-wear, thanks Nona, at Ethnik (our favorite beach bar)
kerkyra is great, a definite place to visit. Artemis super loves her baby sister.
Artemis found all kinds of friends along the way, and would have loved to have more. looks ready for school.
 good sunset
the italian influence is strong in corfu. absolutely a worthwhile stop. so wonderful.
grandpa and grandma wanted a floating mattress, but Artemis had other ideas.
the three girls in the background were obviously gymnasts, artemis was very taken and decided to show off some of her own moves. she is very excited for gym class in the fall.
this is the last beach we went to on kerkyra, my b-day beach, it was spectacular, we really had so much fun, and  a great burger to boot.
Artemis in full evening mountain gear. the temps were wonderful as always in zagarohoria, the best place to truly escape the heat. the sunglasses-at-night look really takes the cake.

so that is it. i hope that Pop Harrington keeps his pictures coming for everyone who is interested.
